Ok, so in the last couple of weeks I’ve gotten both a baseball cap from Emigrant Direct and a tote bag from Meadows Credit Union (click image to enlarge):
Both of these items were unasked for, and simply just appeared at my door. Am I really expected to wear a baseball cap with a bank name on it? And the tote bag is really el’ cheapo looking. We’re talking lower-end convention giveaway stuff. I really wish these companies would actually give away stuff that people would use, like a USB memory key chain or book related to their industry. That’s the best way to spread their brand.
Well, I guess I blogged about them, so it kind of worked.

I don’t see any on my doorstep! then again, I still havent got my ED account setup.
i’ve had an ED for a few months and blogged about them, but hopefully they don’t know exactly who i am based on what i’ve divulged on my blog. 🙂
They found me, a hat was left on my doorstep yesterday. 🙂
I get random gifts from Ameritrade (I’m an “Apex” member, the most valuable benefit from that in my mind is actually the free wire transfers). The last one was a wireless keyboard and mouse. Very nice, top of the line, but I do all my computing on a laptop, so I have no need for it. If only they’d ASK us what we need before they ship it to us, that would be nice.
