Amazon Prime Days 2025 is now live and runs July 8-11th, 2025. Besides the sales, this is also the time where a lot of easy credits and extended free trials are reset, so now is a good time to see if you can use them yet again. As usual, I recommend checking for discounts on the things you already buy. Check your wishlist. Check your “Buy Again” past purchases. I’ve listed a few of my favorite things below as well.
(Note: If you are reading this in an email/RSS reader, unfortunately I am not allowed to include any Amazon affiliate links in e-mails, so they have been removed. Please click here to view the links.)
As the name suggests, most deals require a Prime membership. New members can sign up for a 30-day free trial. Amazon Prime for Students (age 18-24) has a 6-month free trial + 10% off on Prime Day and $7.49/month after that (50% off regular). If you’ve already done the trial, you can simply buy a single month of Prime for $14.99 ($6.99 with SNAP, EBT or Medicaid card).

Stuff I Own (and Would Buy Again)
- Dyson V11 Origin Cordless Vacuum $399 ($170 off) We still love our cordless Dyson. I’m sure a knockoff nowadays will do the trick, but this is another daily workhouse in our household. We had the V8 before, but the extra power of this one is useful.
- Amazon Eero 6E mesh WiFi router system 3-pack ($200 off). If you have WiFi coverage issues and haven’t upgraded your router recently, I do recommend an upgrade. It just makes WiFi something you don’t worry about anymore. No more dead spots.
- Bose QC QuietComfort Bluetooth Noise Canceling Headphones $199 ($150 off). I’m not an audiophile, but these feel great, work well on planes, and are reliable.
- COSORI Air Fryer 6 Qt $89 ($30 off). Love this air fryer. We use nearly every day; heats things up like a microwave, except it keeps things crispy instead of soggy. Easy to clean.
- Vitamix 5200 blender $350 ($150 off). Kitchen staple, sometimes we use it a lot, sometimes rarely, but it’s always there ready and powerful.
- OXO Cold Brew Coffee Maker. I love my smooth cold brew coffee. Simple, easy to clean, works well as long as you have course ground coffee. Fine grind will clog up the filter. I use the Vitamix for a coarse grind from whole beans.
- Infrared Forehead Thermometer. Bought a lot of thermometers the past few years. This model is the best. No contact. Consistent readings. Must have pulled that trigger a million times now.
- Coway Airmega AP-1512HH True HEPA Air Purifier. I have two of these air purifiers, one in each of the kids’ rooms. Reliable and easy to change filters.

Beware of Amazon photos. Many people have reported that when you upload images, it puts them in crap quality and random order. And then Amazon deletes all of your photos locally without permission. When I tried uploading just one picture, it deleted my local/Google copy of that picture without permission.
Amazon digital products tend to be awful… Kindles have limited and outdated software, the Alexas are filled with bugs, the Fire TVs crash, etc. The Alexas have downloaded all of my contacts and personal information with no ability to delete it.
As someone with about a dozen Alexas and a few Kindles, please trust me.
I agree, I don’t use Amazon photos for critical backup.
What do you use? Google? Apple?
I use Apple iCloud, with periodic backups to USB flash drives. I keep one copy of the flash drive in a safety deposit box.
Thanks for the tip about the thermometer. Can finally replace the one that goes in my ear! Doesn’t look to be a Prime Day Deal, but it’s cheaper than the company’s own website, so I’ll take it.
