I wouldn’t bank w/Emigrant. They made unauthorized transactions on my account in February of this year, which caused my account to be in the negative. I closed out my account as soon as they restored the funds but Emigrant isn’t giving me the interest that accrued before they caused the account to go in the red. For my money, HSBC and GMAC bank have really good online products. Plus, when I talked to the customer service reps, the GMAC folks were really helpful but the Emigrant folks had no clue how banking systems work and I could hear many of them loudly cussing out Emigrant customers.
